A Holistic Approach to Pest Management - Class 4

$30.00

 Monday June 2, 6-8pm

Ants as architects, bees as engineers, spiders as master weavers, a praying mantis - not all insects in the garden are bad. In fact, creating habitats in the garden for insects, birds, and other garden dwellers can create a living ecosystem that helps maintain an overall balance in populations. In this class we will hunt for pest damage, learn why some insects are considered beneficial and talk about pest management and organic solutions. As time permits we will also discuss harvest timing and techniques as well as proper storage of produce to preserve freshness.
