Selecting and Starting Seeds - Class 2

$30.00

Monday, May 5th, 6-8pm

Seeds of knowledge and ceremony, of seven generations, of story and history, smuggled in pockets and hair. Seeds of culture and creativity, of sovereignty and a secure food system. Seeds of potential, life arising from itself again and again and again. In this hands-on class, we will explore life's variety and complexity through the lens of a seed. Seed starting requirements vary from plant to plant. Understanding the content provided on a seed packet and learning to optimize seed catalogs can help ensure successful germination. Together we will learn the difference between starting seeds in a cell pack and directly in the soil. We will look at the many benefits to starting our own seeds and discuss resources for sourcing strong plants when seed starting may not be an option.
